Start by downloading my “Staying #dayclubready” Leg Day tracker and add it to your phone to kickstart your workout routine. Begin with 3 compound exercises as they work all major leg muscles simultaneously – glutes, quads, and hamstrings. If time permits, add 2 more glute exercises, followed by quads and hamstrings.
Please note: These exercises require gym machines or cables. The tracker allows you to track your progress in real-time and compare it over multiple days or months, with the first tab on the Excel sheet, “Totals,” providing a summary of all your leg day workouts for the entire month.
Tips:
- Start with a weight that is challenging yet comfortable, especially if you’re new to the gym.
- Avoid overexerting yourself; choose a weight that won’t leave you struggling to walk or sit the next day.
- Aim for 3 sets of 8-12 reps to start.
- Perform this routine 3 times a week.
- On your off days, engage in cardio and upper body exercises – more on upper body exercises later.
