So, last week, I finally gave in and went to the doctor. Months ago, I pulled a splinter from my foot—thought I handled it like a pro. Fast forward, I’m limping around, wondering why walking is now a pain in the ass. Turns out, the callus that formed after I removed the splinter was now a literal thorn in my side—or more accurately, my foot. Fun.
The Doctor’s Solution: Soak It and Scrub It
Doctor’s orders? Soak my feet in warm water with Epsom salt, then scrub away with a pumice stone. Simple, right? And while I thought this was just a boring foot-fix, I slept like a rock that night. Who knew there was magnesium in Epsom salt, and that it somehow works magic for your sleep cycle?
Now, for the bad news—I’ll apparently be dealing with this foot nonsense forever. Callus stickers and Band-Aids are my new best friends on weekends when I’m more active.
All because I walked barefoot on hardwood floors once… to get my slippers from the other room. Lesson learned: no good comes from being lazy about house slippers.
But hey, Epsom salt soaks are officially part of my “Staying #dayclubready” routine. My feet feel better, and I’m sleeping like a baby. Give it a try—you might just wake up refreshed and ready to take on the world (or at least walk across your living room safely).
