Hard Summer at Hollywood Park? Baby, it did not disappoint. I rolled up #dayclubready with my daughter as my +1 (VIP life, no less) and thanks to EDM House Network and Insomniac Events, I got to soak up every set, sparkle, and sound from VIP. Saturday had a more chill, less chaotic vibe—probably ‘cause the Little Monsters were across the way losing it over Gaga at the Kia Forum. Kaytranada had the grooves, Overmono brought the bounce, and when Busta Rhymes hit the stage, it was game over. Old School East Coast Hip hop will always have my heart.

The VIP lounge at the Hard stage came correct—with an actual pool. Yeah, you read that right. And the Press tent? Swankier than expected, okay? But my fav spot was hands-down the BeatBox stage—total beachy, tucked-away gem for up-and-comers. Saturday’s set by Habstrakt slapped, and plot twist: the artist who came on after, Athena, is actually one of my daughter’s friends. And let me tell you, she put on a banging show.
