If you’ve spent any time exploring chakra healing, nervous system regulation, or spiritual wellness, you’ve probably heard the usual recommendations: yoga, meditation, breathwork, exercise, nature walks, journaling, forgiveness, and all the other beautiful healing practices that deserve their flowers.
I use many of those myself.
Binaural beats and Solfeggio frequencies have been part of my daily routine for over a decade now. They play while I wake up, during my afternoon siesta, and again before bed because they work.
But eventually I realized something.
For me, sound wasn’t enough.
My body craved touch.
My nervous system craved movement.
My energy craved circulation.
And that’s when I accidentally created what has become my favorite chakra detox routine.

My Healing Era Started with the Sacral Chakra
What surprised me most was that the emotional work had already happened.
I had done the journaling.
I had done the boundary work.
I had done the self-reflection.
Yet something still felt stuck.
That’s when I stopped looking for another mindset shift and started paying attention to my body.
IF MUSCLES CAN BECOME TIGHT, WHY COULDN’T ENERGY? 💡
If circulation can improve healing elsewhere in the body, why couldn’t it support energetic healing too?
That shift changed everything.

The Massage Roller That Changed My Root, Sacral & Solar Plexus Energy
Last year, I picked up a simple massage roller stick.
What started as a random Amazon purchase became one of the most important tools in my healing era.
My nightly routine begins standing upright with the roller in both hands. Starting at the tops of my feet, I slowly roll upward.
Always upward.
Never back and forth.
As I move through the Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, and eventually toward the Heart Chakra, I intentionally slow my movements and reduce the pressure.
The goal isn’t aggressive massage.
The goal is flow.
For me, this creates circulation while encouraging energetic movement from the bottom up.
Over time, I noticed something incredible.
The heaviness I’d associated with my Sacral Chakra began to lift.
The emotional knots I’d been carrying for years felt less dense.
The combination of inner work, nervous system healing, self-awareness, and physical circulation finally felt like it was creating real momentum.
But there was still one problem.
While my lower chakras felt significantly clearer, my Third Eye became the new bottleneck. The blockage had moved—because it hadn’t fully left.

How I Use a Cold Face Roller & Gua Sha for My Throat and Third Eye Chakras
Once my lower chakras began improving, it became obvious that my upper chakras needed the same level of attention.
The Third Eye Chakra especially.
So I went down an Amazon rabbit hole searching for something gentler because the massage roller was not meant for your throat or face.
That’s when I found a stainless steel face roller and matching gua sha tool.
Most people probably buy these for depuffing, contouring, or skincare.
I bought them to detox my chakras.
I keep both in the freezer.
The cold metal feels incredible and immediately creates circulation moving any blockage up the “food chain” (the chakra chain) to the Crown, 7th and final chakra.
For my Throat Chakra, I use the gua sha tool by placing the double-handled side against my throat and gently moving upward from the base of my neck toward my jawline.
For my Third Eye Chakra, I use the larger roller and move upward from the base of my nose toward my hairline.
Then I repeat the same upward motion across my forehead.
Finally, I focus directly between my brows and roll upward toward my hairline.
That last movement has become one of my favorites.
It’s my way of “unmuddying” my Third Eye.

The Crown Chakra Finisher That Feels Like a Luxury Salon Appointment
For my Crown Chakra, I knew I didn’t want anything intense. The last chakra was the final stop that would complete the removal of any toxins/blockage.
I wasn’t looking for a deep tissue scalp tool.
I wanted something light.
Something relaxing.
Enter the finger-style scalp massager.
It’s become the grand finale of my nightly ritual. The sensation instantly reminds me of sitting in my stylist Matt’s chair while he’s working Redken Shades EQ 10GI toner through my platinum blonde hair.
And somehow it always manages to remove any and all of it…the thoughts, the toxins, the day.
By the time I finish, my entire body feels softer.
My nervous system feels regulated and it’s time for bed.

Why I Only Move Energy Upward
One thing you’ll notice about every tool in this routine is that I work from bottom to top.
I don’t move back and forth.
I don’t zig-zag.
I don’t reverse direction.
In my personal practice, I view energetic detox similarly to physical flow.
If the goal is movement, there needs to be a direction.
Again, I am not a licensed practitioner, and this isn’t medical advice.
It’s simply what’s worked for me.
My belief is that constantly moving energy back and forth doesn’t create an exit point. It simply moves the congestion somewhere else. In my case, the blockage eventually shifted from my Sacral Chakra to my Pineal Chakra.
If the 1st chakra is your root and the last your crown, moving upward is not only intentional, it’s common-fucking-sense.
Whether you call it chakra healing, nervous system regulation, or simply self-care, this is the routine that’s worked for me.
