June felt strange in the best possible way. I’m still not used to it and at times it can be uncomfortable.
The month flew by, yet somehow everything moved at a leisurely pace. I’m not sure how else to describe it. The days weren’t rushed. They weren’t packed with endless obligations. They simply unfolded.
The Leisure Lifestyle Is No Longer a Vacation
One of the biggest realizations I’ve had since moving away from Orange and Los Angeles County is that I have never fit into the pace of the general population. Ever.

The constant busyness. The obsession with being productive every second of the day. The idea that if you’re not exhausted, you’re not going to reach your goal.
That has NEVER been ME.
These days I still socialize, but it’s limited and it’s on my terms. I spend more time cooking, swimming, writing/creating, walking, and enjoying my own company. A slower, semi-isolated, life. It simply means I’m more intentional about how and where I spend my energy.
YOU CANNOT BE AN ICON IF YOU NEVER MAKE YOURESELF A PRIORITY.
Read that again.

Desert Mornings, Weight Vests, and Listening to My Body
Living in the desert has completely changed my routine.
Most mornings start well before sunrise with black coffee and a 40-pound weighted vest. By 4:15 a.m., I’m out walking through the neighborhood while my neighbors are still asleep. Part of that is because the overnight low hovers around 80°F, and part of it is because I enjoy the solitude.
By mid-morning, I’m swimming in mineral spring water, which coincidentally aides in keeping my eczema at bay. The slower pace of life has actually helped me pay closer attention to what my body wants instead of forcing it into routines that no longer fit.
Dayclub SEAZN Had a Busy Month
While my personal life slowed down, Dayclub SEAZN had a glow-up.
One of my favorite projects this month was putting the Dayclub SEAZN logo onto actual products. The pink flamingo floatie inside a martini glass is far too fun to stay trapped on a website. Seeing it appear on coasters, bottle openers, and canvas wall prints felt like a natural next step.

I also released three new cocktail downloads. Check them out here.
The keto vodka recipes were created for anyone looking to skip some of the summer bloat while still enjoying poolside drinks. I also expanded the Cutwater-inspired recipe collection and continued promoting the Tequila Rituals download.

One pleasant surprise was seeing how many men downloaded the tequila guide. Thank you to the gentlemen who continue showing up and supporting Dayclub SEAZN. Thank you, gents!
A New Chapter for Baroque Medusa
Outside of Dayclub SEAZN, I also took a big step as a writer.
Starting in July, I’ll be partnering with The Healing Shoppe in Upland, California, to host a three-part writing workshop series for aspiring authors interested in self-publishing through Amazon KDP.
As someone who taught herself the process through trial, error, and persistence, I’m excited to help others turn their ideas into actual books.
If you’ve ever wanted to add “author” to your repertoire, this series was designed for you.

What I’m Taking Into July
If June taught me anything, it’s that slowing down still triggers guilt—a lot.
There are moments when old programming tries to convince me I’m not doing enough. That I should be moving faster. Producing more. Chasing something…anything.
THEN I REMIND MYSELF WHY I BUILT THIS LIFESTYLE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I choose slow.
I choose leisure.
I choose me.
As I saunter into July, that’s the area I’ll continue working on the most: my self-concept. Not around money. Not around success. Around permission.
Permission to enjoy my life exactly as I’ve designed it.
Permission to move at my own pace.
Permission to stop apologizing for being happy.
All in all, June was a good month. A weird month. A peaceful month.
Staying #dayclubready has never felt more real.
