Last Friday, before my hair appointment, I drove back to Arcadia while I was home for the weekend after teaching my first writing workshop at The Healing Shoppe. Instead of rushing from one place to the next, I carved out time for a slow morning walk through the LA County Arboretum.
No headphones. No destination. Just sunshine, palm trees, turtles sunbathing on rocks, blooming cactus flowers, and the kind of silence that reminds me why I built the Dayclub SEAZN lifestyle in the first place.

Slow Living Isn’t About Doing Less
It’s about becoming present enough to actually notice your life.
One minute I was standing in front of Baldwin Lake, completely covered in what looked like a blanket of bright green algae. The next, I found myself watching a turtle stretch toward the sun as if it had absolutely nowhere else to be. I walked beneath towering trees that have probably witnessed generations of visitors before me and stopped every few minutes simply because something deserved a second look.
That’s the luxury I’m chasing. Not expensive vacations or packed itineraries. It’s giving myself permission to move through the day at whatever pace feels right.

Some mornings, Dayclub SEAZN looks like pool parties and DJs. Others, it looks like an arboretum, a shaded walking path, and letting nature reset the volume in my head before the day begins. Both count. Both fill my cup. That’s what staying #dayclubready has always meant to me: creating a life that feels good long and one I don’t need to escape from.
