I Didn’t Romanticize My Life. I Built One I Don’t Need a Vacation From.

For decades, I thought vacations were something you escaped to. A week off. A change of scenery. A temporary pause before returning to “real life”, aka, the 9-5pm grind.

Now? My everyday life is the vacation.

Not because I’m on a beach in Bali or living some influencer fantasy. It’s because I made the conscious decision to remove myself from the people, expectations, and routines that kept me disconnected from myself. I traded constant noise for desert silence. Chaos for simplicity. Obligation for intention.

Dayclub SEAZN isn’t about pretending an ordinary Tuesday is magical. It’s about creating a life where an ordinary Tuesday actually feels good.

An ordinary morning that feels anything but ordinary.

Listening to My Body Instead of the Clock

My mornings are rarely the same, but they’re always mine. Some days begin with black coffee and complete silence while I write. Other mornings, I throw on a High Frequency Guru video as a quick reminder that I’m still the HBIC of my own life. After that comes movement. Calisthenics, a weighted vest walk before the desert sun gets too intense, and later, a long swim in the mineral spring pools that has nothing to do with exercise and more about regulating my nervous system.

The rest of the day unfolds naturally. I write. I create. I support the authors signed to Baroque Medusa Media. Sometimes I take a nap. I test new recipes. I listen to whatever soundtrack matches my mood. There isn’t a productivity formula. There isn’t a rigid schedule. There is only paying attention. Some days I accomplish a lot. Other days, I intentionally accomplish less. Both are productive because they honor what my body needs.

If I feel like spending extra time in the sun, I do. If I need another swim, I take one. If my body tells me it’s bedtime at 6:30 in the evening, I go to bed. And if that means I’m naturally awake at 1:30 in the morning while the rest of the world is on their first round of R.E.M. sleep, then that’s exactly when my day begins. Those quiet hours have become some of my favorite moments. Just me, my coffee, the desert breeze.

There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.

Building a Life I Don’t Need to Escape From

Some people might look at my lifestyle and call it “unconventional”.

What’s unconventional to those is absolute bliss for me. Freedom.

The older I get, the less interested I am in living according to their definition of a “productive day”. I don’t care what time I’m “supposed” to go to bed, eat lunch, exercise, or create.

My body has become the schedule. My peace has become the priority.

That’s what Dayclub SEAZN has always been about.

Not escaping my life for a weekend.

Building one I don’t need to escape from.
